About us
In 1994, Wine Warehouse was founded by owners David and Elizabeth Souza with the intent of bringing the best possible quality and service for both wine and beer to central Virginia. We are still a family owned and run store.
We buy wisely, get good discounts, and take a smaller margin on even high-demand wines. We taste almost every wine we bring into the store, and every wine, beer, cider and mead is kept at a cellar temperature of approximately 60 degrees or less. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will take it back with no hassle.

Our shelves hold 700+ unique and handcrafted beers from the United States, England, Germany, and many others. All beers are kept out of direct UV light and stored at a stable 55–60 degree temperature year round.
Food to go with it
A selection of gourmet cheeses, crackers, and other food items to pair with your wine and beer, including breads from Albemarle Baking Company (fresh Thursdays and Saturdays), whole bean coffee from Shenandoah Joe, Gearharts Fine Chocolates and Olli Salumeria. Samples are almost always available during our in-store tastings Thursdays through Saturdays.
